The Best Man is responsible for a variety of tasks for the wedding, not just his best man wedding speech. Because they can vary, be sure to talk to the Groom about what you should do. The Best Man probably has most of his miscellaneous duties before the actual wedding. One of the most important is being a source or moral support for the groom.

Your most important job, however, is to just provide a good source of moral support for the Groom. Even though weddings are supposed to be blissful and relaxed, they can be overwhelming. So sometimes you need to be a Best Friend before the Best Man. You want to provide a good system of reinforcement for your Groom and help make his special day even better. The wedding planning process will also give you a good opportunity to find material for your best man speeches brother.

First, help him decide on a date for the actual wedding. Weddings are commonly held on weekends, but a weekday wedding isn’t unheard of. Make sure to include relatives that have to fly from out of town in your planning, they will want to be part of the wedding too. Make sure the date is sufficiently in the future so people can get plane tickets for cheaper, as well as allowing people to get time off of work. The location and the date of the wedding tie very closely hand in hand. Don’t hold a wedding on the beach during the summer when it’s 90 degrees. You don’t want the Groom to pass out from heat exhaustion.

If the Bride and Groom have already decided on a location for the wedding, make sure you have a physical address available for people who aren’t local.

If the Bride and Groom have a someone special in mind that they want to perform the service, be sure to talk to him in advance to see when he is available, or look around for a clergyman that is available on the wedding date.

You will also have more time to get ready for your best mans speeches. With all of this craziness going on, don’t forget about making your best man speechs.

Best Man Wedding Speech: Visualizing The Audience In Their Underwear

There are a variety of ways you can reduce stage fright. Probably the best thing you can do is be prepared. By being prepared, you can walk into your best mans speeches with confidence, knowing that you have what you want to say and you can say it well. A good way to do this is to practice in the mirror. Close your eyes and pretend you’re in the reception hall, take a deep breath, and start. If you need to, start by only saying little pieces at a time, then gradually build up to the whole speech. Once you have practiced the whole speech, do it again and try not to stop. If you get stuck, do your best to finish calmly and with feeling. By preparing for a mistake, you can be ready for the worst case scenario, and probably even avoid one altogether.

Look online for some breathing exercises that will help you relax. They are a physically proven quick stress reliever that can reduce tension and slow your heart rate. Breathing is important during your speech. If you have to consciously stop to take a breath, it is okay. No one will even notice. Although you feel like you have all eyes on you, you’re not being judged as closely as you think you are. Relax your muscles; you don’t want to look like a talking statue. Just be yourself! That’s the reason you were chosen to be a Best Man after all.

Move around a little bit, but avoid pacing. Picture the natural way a comedian looks on stage. A few sips of a drink can calm you down and reduce your nervousness a little. However, do NOT drink too much. Saying your best man speechs while drunk, while it may be funny, will only result in embarrassment for yourself as well as the couple and will leave the groom feeling disrespected. Don’t let your nerves bait you into drinking too much.

Many people have issues with what do with their hands when they’re speaking. If you want to keep something in one of your hands, don’t make it very noticeable. You don’t want people focusing on what you’re holding instead of your speech. Try a rolled up paper towel. It’s a quick sweat absorber and can easily be kept out of sight. It’s a good idea to keep a glass of water around, but holding it in your hand may not be a good idea, unless you’ve practice with it.

Keep a glass of water nearby, but don’t hold it in your hand. You don’t want to accidentally spill it or toss it on the Bride. Again, think comedian when going for a drink. Don’t stand there and chug the whole glass while the audience watches. A few good sips won’t interrupt the flow of your speech and will give you a good quick mid-speech refresher.

Pretend you’re at home practicing your best man speeches brother in the mirror or just talking to the Groom one-on-one. Most people go their entire lives without getting to perform a best man speechs.

Be ready to lend a hand if something goes a little awry during the wedding. Deciding what you want to say in your best man speech can be a daunting job. However, there are some traditional components that you can start with and build up from there. It generally starts with an introduction, a memory or story about the Groom, and then the toast. First, introduce yourself. Say your name and how you know the Groom, as this sets the tone for your speech.

There are many options open to you after your introduction. Where you decide to take your speech ultimately depends on your personality, as well as your relationship with the Groom. Start off with a good joke or a heart-warming story. However, make sure they’re appropriate – there are both children and grandparents in the audience, and you don’t want to make the Groom’s grandma blush with some of the stories you might have.

A good memory is easy to talk about, and the genuine emotion comes naturally. The audience will appreciate your sincerity and your speech will be a hit. Even if you only talk about how you and he fought over the same girl in the fifth grade, people will tap into your emotion and will take account of it. You can talk about how you and the Groom first met or a defining moment in your friendship, like the time you two were camping in the woods and swore you saw Bigfoot.

Relate the unfolding of the relationship of the Bride and Groom and how they have ended up sitting there next to you on the Wedding Day. Talk about how they complement each others personalities and how great of a team they make. Maybe share some stories you know. The main goal of this part of the speech is to paint a picture of the couple for the audience, so keep that in mind.

The toast marks the conclusion of your speech. This part needs to especially sincere, because this is where you, representing both yourself and the audience, give your best wishes to the newlyweds. A little friendly pointers or a saying is alright, but avoid jokes or sarcasm altogether. After you extend your message to the Bride and Groom, prompt the audience to raise their glasses and toast the new couple and the commencing of their new lives together. The Bachelor party is a pretty traditional part of weddings, like the best man speechs. All a bachelor party is, is to celebrate the Groom’s last night as a single man. This can take on a variety of meanings. Make sure you know exactly what the Groom expects, and that you respect his wishes. Bachelor parties hold the reputation of being drenched in alcohol and populated by a crowd of strippers, but this doesn’t apply to all men. Once again, make sure you know what the Groom has in mind. If he prefers to spend the night playing pool and drinking beer, don’t rent out a huge party house with a topless completely female staff and a team of bartenders.

Make a guest list and pick a good date well enough into the future so that all of the Groom’s friends can attend. Decide what kind of menu you plan on having, and call a catering company well enough in advance to book for the night you want. If there’s going to be drinking, consider in hiring a limo or another form of transportation so everyone can get home safe.

More and more parties are being combined to include both the Groom and the Bride. Bachelor parties can be uncomfortable to talk about with a Bride, especially if she doesn’t think strippers qualify as legitimate entertainment. If the Groom wants to hold a party with his Bride-to-be, don’t get mad. All that means is that the girls there are the friends of the Bride, as opposed to topless waitresses. You may also need to consider your best man speechs before the wedding.

Even though I know you won’t cry, pick up some tissues before the wedding. I’m sure someone will need them. Your part in the wedding is very special, and you want to be able to perform to the best of your abilities. The Groom chose you to help carry him through this very special day, so be proud of that.

Seiko Automatic, Over One Hundred Years Of Innovation

Posted on 16th April 2010 by Admin in Seiko watch

The Seiko Corporation began in 1895. The first time pieces manufactured by Seiko were wall clocks. These were followed by five watches, also known as pocket watches. But in 1923, the only Seiko factory and the corporate headquarters were destroyed in the fires initiated by the Kanto earthquake, which devastated Tokyo. The company had yet to begin manufacturing Seiko watch.

When Japan seated a new emperor in 1912, Mr. Hattori considered this a good sign, and began to manufacture a new watch, the first ever with a Seiko brand. All Hattori wristwatches manufactured since then has carried the Seiko brand name, while wall clocks continued under the Seikosha name. At this time, the manufactured wristwatches were small by current standards, measuring only slightly more than an inch in diameter.

Although watches have been around for a very long time, their internal workings remain a mystery to most people. One of the most confusing parts of the internal workings of the watch is the movement. The watch’s movement involves all the moving pieces of the watch, with the exception of the hands. This type of movement was obviously much easier to understand since mechanical watches used gears and a mainspring. In keeping with tradition, even quartz and digital watches continue to use the phrase movement.

The invention of the digital Seiko automatic is as interesting as it is an excellent example of how paradigm shifts in business are both difficult and devastating. The original digital watches were made in the 1930s, but were not very accurate. Later, in the 1960s, several makers produced electronic watches which were more accurate, but had limited life spans and were very pricey, selling in the 2,000 dollar range. Nevertheless, these watches inspired the Swiss to re-look the notion of the quartz movement.

In the late 1960’s, the first quartz wristwatch was manufactured by the Swiss and displayed at a watch show. The Swiss, however, greatly underestimated their own invention. The Swiss watch making industry had been the dominate force in high quality timepieces for a very long time. They reasoned with traditional opinions that this new watch, with its lack of a mainspring and gears, could not possibly be the future of wristwatches or timepieces. They were so convinced that they displayed the watch at a show and never bothered to patent it. The race was on.

With great strides in miniaturization and continued increases in accuracy, wristwatches were incredibly popular and were manufactured in a dizzying array of shapes and sizes. As time went on, extremely accurate watches were no longer the sole domain of the high end expensive watches, but rather accuracy was affordable. With the increased flexibility, the decrease in size constraints yielded, and women could color and style coordinate their watches with their clothing, and accessorizing became the norm.

The watches of today are far more than simple devices used to keep time. They are accurate enough to assist with celestial navigation and serve multiple functions as well. Other technologies advance, so the comic strip radio watch may never be financially practical, but the technology to produce it exists. Watches now come with calculators, schedulers, and many keep two time zones at a time, with specialty watches available programmed with every time zone.

Seiko chronograph have been in the mix all along, and now have introduced watches around a new technology call electronic ink, which will allow for even greater and more amazing man’s sports watch designs.
